Press Release - M-Slide™ Agreement with AMICO & CEMCO April 29, 2011 - Birmingham, AL Alabama Metal Industries Corp (AMICO)- a Gibraltar Company - announced today a Marketing Agreement with California Expanded Metal Company (CEMCO) to market, sell & distribute the M-Slide™ 2-pc Expansion Joint throughout their 14 Distribution Centers in North America. The AMICO M-Slide™ will come in both vertical and horizontal versions, delivering superior water management attributes to those found in traditional 2-pc expansion joints. AMICO's initial offering will be in the galvanized 7/8” ground, expanding to other grounds and zinc alloy later in 2011. The CEMCO/AMICO agreement will broaden into the other CEMCO Water Management profiles developed already. The M-Slide™ Horizontal combines a weep screed design with a larger, solid flange (on bottom) to provide intermediate flashing/drainage at mid-floor expansion. The M-Slide™ Vertical utilizes larger flanges and a stiffer design to “pre-set” the vertical joint for proper attachment. The 7/8” grounds will work for both 3/4” and 7/8” cladding systems; other size grounds and zinc alloy are available on request. Produced in 10’ lengths. Stocked in AMICO's Birmingham, AL and Fontana, CA facilities.
