Smoothedge Cornalath

Corners and openings at doors and windows require extra reinforcement

AMICO Smoothedge Striplath are 4 inch and 6 inch pre-cut strips of our Diamond Mesh Lath. These closed smooth edged strips areintended to be installed around door and window frames for added reinforcement and aid in the prevention of cracking.

Wall to wall and wall to ceiling inside corners need the additional reinforcement supplied by AMICO Smoothedge Cornalath that helps reduce cracks. Angles are pre-formed to be 105º so as to offer resistance when installed.

Both Smoothedge Striplath and Smoothedge Cornalath are available in galvanized steel.

Cornalath, inside corners, are used to reinforce intersections between abutting walls and ceiling and as seen above to form non-beaded rounded corners.
Cut as needed and installed at 45º to outside corners of windows and doors Striplath reinforces against the concentration of stress and cracking.

Striplath reinforces corners over doors and around window openings to help reduce cracking at these locations.
